The foundation for the high degree of reliability of the complex systems and equipment lies in their cutting machines, where the company has put its trust in complete machining for the past 10 years. The most recent and also the most striking example is the new CTX gamma 2000 TC Turn & Mill Centre with the large 120 x tool magazine, which has been in non-stop operation on two shifts in Neuwied since autumn last year. In comparison to the earlier step-by-step production on two stand-alone machines, W + D has achieved both cost- and time savings of 30% – with the added benefit of a measurable quality increase in precision workpieces.
