The innovative drive of the company is illustrated by the installation, at the end of last year, of a DMC 340 FD Giga-Milling / Turning Centre – a machine that is globally unparalleled – an outcome of the successes achieved with the existing DMC 125 FD, DMC 160 FD and DMC 200 FD machines.
The new machine includes ATC system optimisation software and an integrated pallet changer allows exchanging and machining of workpieces with weights up to 10,000 kg. Short setup times and simultaneous 5-axis milling and turning at the highest level of precision are standard features, and the power spindle with 1,550 Nm and several large angled milling heads that can be exchanged on the pallet changer are part of the optional highlights of this Giga-Milling Centre.
